Unplug your display from the computer to prevent getting zapped.

Clear aside your work area. Put a towel or electrostat mat underneath the monitor where you'll perform the surgery.

lay monitor down flat on cloth

using 2 mm hex key unscrew the 3 hinge fastners
|
Using a 2.5 mm hex key, unscrew the 12 screws around the perimeter of the display
|
this is what I used...
|
you may want to place another cloth directly underneath the hinge area to avoid your hex key from accidentally scraping the plastic casing.
|
Remove the hinge
|
pull out the hinge and the display plastic. Set them aside in a safe place.
|
remove the outer metal shielded assembly
|
Use a Phillips screwdriver for this part.
|
Don't forget the two screws underneath the silver tape. Gently peel back from the outer edges to reveal these screws.

The old Ambit inverter.
|
begin unscrewing the 4 screws holding the Ambit inverter board in place. Remove the electrical tape temporarily to the side.
|
gently pry out the connectors attached to the old inverter board.
|
Remove the old board and place it back into an anti-static bag.

Connect the MoniServe inverter board.

secure in place.

Of course! The electrical tape.

Reassemble your monitor and cross your fingers.
